La entrega de premios cinematográficos más popular se acerca, y ya se han dado a conocer los nominados a todas las categorías. No hay demasiadas sorpresas salvo quizás que la más nominada sea la británica ‘El discurso del rey’, que opta a 12 estatuillas, y será la principal rival de la favorita ‘La red social’ que cuenta con 8 nominaciones. Por otro lado este año la academia se ha olvidado de Martin Scorsese (‘Shutter Island’) y Clint Eastwood (‘Más allá de la vida’), y ha vuelto a reconocer a los hermanos Coen con varias nominaciones para su western-remake ‘Valor de ley’. Destacamos también el reconocimiento de la academia a Pixar con 5 candidaturas para ‘Toy Story 3’ que además cuenta con nominaciones tanto a mejor película como a mejor película de animación, como ya le sucedió año atrás a ‘Up’.
En cuanto a los actores se vuelve a reconocer a nuestro Javier Bardem (aunque el gran favorito es Colin Firth por ‘El discurso del rey’) con su tercera nominación a los Oscars. No tanto se entiende el olvido a Leonardo DiCaprio (‘Origen’, ‘Shutter Island’) o Paul Giamatti (‘Barney’s versión’). En el apartado actrices, la favorita es Natalie Portman por ‘Cisne Negro‘ y Annette Benning por ‘Los chicos están bien’.
Por desgracia la candidata española ‘También la lluvia’ de Iciar Bollaín no ha tenido la fortuna de estar entre las candidatas para el Oscar a mejor película de habla no-inglesa. En su lugar es candidata la película de González-Iñarritu, el film producción hispano-mexicano, ‘Biutiful’.
